10th Magnitude Builds SaaS Product for Holden International

Cloud services provider 10th Magnitude has built a custom cloud Software as a Service (SaaS) application for sales training and consulting firm Holden International. The efox application, built exclusively in Microsoft’s Azure Platform as a Service (PaaS), has both revolutionized Holden’s business model and solved a major technological problem in cloud development.

Holden previously sold a semi-custom version of efox to augment its training programs. The company needed to revise the software so it would be easier to use and update, and it needed to be compatible with multiple Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems.

10th Magnitude built a new, mobile-enabled version of efox entirely in the cloud, which offered the flexibility to easily adjust the application both as development progressed and once it was in market. There were no capital outlays or IT staff additions necessary to start development, since cloud development offers clients a pay-for-what-you-use capacity model during both development and implementation.

“10th Magnitude revolutionized our business model,” said Holden International President Ryan Kubacki. “They took us from training and consulting to now including the efox software component that will help our clients better use our methodologies and training.”

Holden bundled the new efox software into its training courses and found that demand for the software increased demand for the training. efox also increased Holden methodology adoption, win rates for clients, and software loyalty, transforming Holden from a sales training company into a sales software and training company; morphing a P&L footnote into a top-line engine.

The efox software is compatible with multiple CRM platforms—such as Salesforce and Microsoft Dynamics—and can be translated into another language in an hour for Holden’s international clients. 10th Magnitude develops specific CRM connectors as Holden’s clients require, keeping costs in line with growing revenue. Additionally, efox can instantly on-board hundreds of users with a spreadsheet upload of user names and IDs.

efox is not only revolutionary for Holden’s business, but also represents a major technological step forward: efox offers users a one-step login (single sign-on) for both their CRM and efox, even though efox is a stand-alone application. By designing the application with single sign-on, 10th Magnitude overcame a major technical hurdle.

When talking IoT we often focus on the devices, the sensors, the hardware itself. The new smart appliances, the new smart or self-driving cars (which are amalgamations of many ‘things'). When we are looking at the world of IoT, we should take a step back, look at the big picture. What value are these devices providing. IoT is not about the devices, its about the data consumed and generated. The devices are tools, mechanisms, conduits. This paper discusses the considerations when dealing with the...
