ABAS Displays ERP Highlights at CeBIT 2010

January 28, 2010 — The most important trade fair for the digital industry, CeBIT, will take place in Hanover, Germany from March 2nd to 6th, 2010. ABAS Software AG will present, together with its international software partners, the latest innovations for abas Business Software (ERP, PPC, MRP, eBusiness) in hall 5 at stand A18. The focus will be placed on innovations in the areas abas infosystems, CRM, shipping and sales planning, as well as comprehensive new eBusiness applications.

International abas Software Partners exhibit on CeBIT
abas software partners from the Netherlands, Italy, USA and this year’s CeBIT partner country Spain will be represented at the abas booth in hall 5, stand A18. CeBIT is the world’s largest trade fair showcasing digital IT and telecommunications solutions for home and work environments, with 20% of trade fair visitors being from abroad.

Simplified decision making process with abas infosystems
abas infosystems are navigation platforms to efficiently handle business processes. Processes can be created, managed and controlled from only one screen. From quote to invoice. Never will you have to tell your customers: “let me look this up and call you back”.

Expanded Customer Relationship Management (CRM)
abas Business Software provides users with expanded CRM functionality. It is possible to record, evaluate and process “opportunities” in sales. A new infosystem “Opportunities overview” provides a complete overview of all sales projects at the click of a button. Tasks can be delegated directly from the screen and activity notes on customers and prospects can be created and classified.

Extended eBusiness
The look & feel of abas web components was further optimized, internationally applicable standards are now being used. In addition, there are also new standard applications available: e.g. service, scanner connection, spare parts catalog, vendor connection, product valuation, online exchange of business processes with vendors and Web EDI integration of vendors.

Shipping planning
Shipping planning in abas Business Software was also further developed. It is now possible to create mixed palettes, calculate packaging material and carry out packaging material plausibility checks.

Sales planning – rolling planning
abas Business Software projects sales forecasts based on historical values. Material planning then determines the resulting material requirement. Due to rolling planning, the preview in purchasing and sales is always up-to-date.

Quick search in abas Business Software
New functions optimize search comfort in abas Business Software. Users are now supported by a structured or an unstructured full text search and manifold sorting options when wanting to quickly find data. The abas search engine is similar to established Internet search engines and can be used immediately.
